Victorian Era - Performing most of the day will be the 46th PA REGIMENT BAND (Logan Guard) formed in December 1995 by a group of musicians from the Altoona area. The bands desire is to honor the Logan Guard Militia from Lewistown, the 46th PA Volunteer Regiment, and the musicians from Birdsboro Community Band who enlisted together and maintained the morale of the troops with their music throughout the war.

The Victorian Dance Ensemble will give dance demonstrations at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. This performing troupe of the Civil War Dance Foundation from Camp Hill, is a group of living historians who share a love for the grace and beauty of mid-nineteenth century dancing. They are devoted to promoting and advancing educational, cultural, preservation, commemoration and performing arts programs related to the Civil War and Victorian eras.

50's Block – Dan & Galla will perform 50's tunes starting at 11:00 am and host fun contests like bubble gum blowing, hula hoop, and pie eating!

Colonial Times – The Horseshoe Cloggers perform at 2 pm. Also on this block, Blair County Wildlife Rehabilitation will have live animals from the wild that need care before release. At 3 pm stomp your feet at our Hootenany with the best fiddle, banjo and guitar pickers from our area! Remmington Ryde will perform at noon.

Renaissance Faire – Ancient Echos will perform at 11 am, noon and 2 pm. This Celtic Music & English County Dance group wears period costumes and interacts with the audience. The group includes Holly Foy who began playing guitar at age 11 and took up the hammered dulcimer in her late 20's. She plays guitar, Irish skin drum (bodhran) and hammered dulcimer. Also performing will be Lisa McDivitt playing the recorder, harp and Irish floor harp. She has been a member of the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism) for over 25 years and spends a week each summer at Pennsic, the largest Renaissance gathering in the world.

Knighting Ceremony – Kids can become knighted by the Queen for doing a good deed. Parents can nominate their children for knighting. Times to be announced.

Woodstock Era - Helen Hammett, ventriloquist, and her puppets will perform a dymanic and enteraining comedy show at noon, 1:30 pm and 3 pm. At 1 pm enjoy the great music of Randy Jackson & Friends on guitar and electric piano.

 

OTHER EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Red Bud Quilt Guild Show & Sale will be held in the Huntingdon Community Center, located on the corner of 5th and Mifflin Streets. Hours are: Friday, April 23 from 9am - 7pm and Saturday, April 24 from 9am - 4pm. More info

Standing Stone Art League Show and Sale Open Friday and Saturday from 10 to 5 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 pm. Held at the Huntingdon County Historical Society Gallery, 4th and Penn Street. More info.

Huntingdon Arts Council is having a photography display at their new building on 4th street, just off Washington St.

Conestoga Wagon Rides - Purchase a Mayfest button to ride on a real Conestoga Wagon from Dayze Gone Bye Carriage Rides. Several pick up locations.

Outhouse Races - 11 am at Washington and 3rd street watch a zainy outhouse race to benefit Relay for Life/ Cancer Society.

COSTUME CONTEST - 11:30 AM near 613 Washington – Anyone in a costume can participate! Awards in many categories including most historically period correct and funniest.

Civil War Encapment at Portstown Park - On Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 am, April 24-25, there will be a Civil War encampment at Portstown Park along the Juniata River in Huntingodn. Re-enactors encourage visitors to stop by and ask questions about their equipment, period-correct clothing and camp set-up.

Livingstone Antiques Historical Play - Kids can participate by signing up from 10 am - noon. Play at 4 pm. Contact Sue Hoover at 814-641-7300.
