A Civil War encampment will be set up at Portstown Park along the Juniata River in Huntingdon during the weekend of April 24-25, 2010. Come and see camp life, displays, drill demonstrations, and firing demonstrations. Re-enactors will be available to talk to visitors starting at 9 am on both Saturday and Sunday. They are happy to share their knowledge of the Civil War and describe their gear and how it was used by the sturdy soldiers of the Civil War.
The groups attending the encampment are the 1st VA, 13th VA, 11th PA, and the 151st PA
