Red Bud Quilt Show & Sale

Friday, April 29, 2011 from 9 am - 7 pm

and Saturday, April 30, 9 am - 4 pm

at the Huntingdon Community Center

Corner of 5th st & Mifflin Streets, Downtown, Huntingdon

Please plan to attend the 20th Annual Quilt Show while you are at Mayfest. The Show is open from 9am until 7pm on Friday and from 9am until 4 pm on Saturday.   Everyone is welcome. Each year 80-100 items are on display. Bed-size quilts, wall quilts, quilted garments and home accessories created using a variety if techniques and quilting methods are always represented.

The items are created by crafts people from all over Central Pennsylvania. Some of  the entries come from as far away as Johnstown, Allentown  and neighboring Maryland and West Virginia. The Quilts are judeged and ribbons awarded in a variety of categories.

Any one wishing to submit a quilt should bring their entry on Thursday, April 28 to the Community Center between 9am and 12pm.

In addition to the wonderful display, visitors can:

•  watch demonstrations of quilting techniques

•  spend time working on a quilt at the Charity Quilting Bee

•  participate in workshops on Saturday

•  spend time relaxing at the Redbud Cafe Serving lunch and snacks

• look at the selection of quilted items on the Crafts Table
